Kathy Morrison - Program Director & Kindermusik Educator

Kathy Morrison, Program Director & Kindermusik Educator
Furman University, BA
Licensed Kindermusik Educator, Professional Level Certification
Maestro Producer Conductor's Circle

Kathy attended her first Kindermusik class as a parent in February of 1996 and the rest (as they say) is history.  After years of directing children's choirs, handbell choirs, adult vocal ensembles, piano accompaniment, flute & vocal performances, Kindermusik became the driving musical passion in her life.  Kathy began teaching Kindermusik in Summer of 2000 in Greenville, SC for Piano Central Music Studios under the direction of Theresa Case.  By Summer of 2003 she was mentoring other Kindermusik educators and by November of 2003, Kathy was invited to participate on 3 summer camp writing teams.  She worked on curricula writing teams for 10 years including Kindermusik Adventures Summer Camps, ABC Music & Me, Family Time, and ABC Move & Groove. Recently, she was the lead revision author for our all new Kindermusik "Laugh & Learn" curricula for ages 3 and 4 years.

In the summer of 2004, her family moved to Pittsburgh where she opened her own program in Mt. Lebanon.  Kathy served on the PKE board for 4 years with a focus on Training and Process Improvement.  Kathy's Music has grown from 1 educator teaching 12 students in 2004 to being ranked in the 10 top Kindermusik programs world-wide with 20 teachers and now a music school offering music lessons in piano, voice, guitar, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and ukulele.

"I became a Kindermusik teacher because of the difference Kindermusik made in the life of my child.  Now I teach Kindermusik to make a difference in the lives of others."
