Recorder Compositions using Paint Chips!

Our Kindermusik Young Child class recently learned how to create a composition using paint chips from a local hardware store.  Using a simple process and a few pieces of paper, each student invested 45 minutes in their very own Color Composition, discovering a new JOY in music making.  Some students were so PASSIONATE about their new composition, that they started practicing on their recorders right away.  The experience gave the kids a new level of CONFIDENCE that they can be composers and it can be FUN.  We used TEAMWORK by pairing up 3 students with a teacher to foster COMMUNITY. The result was encouragement from friends, brainstorming together, and learning from each other.
