Nathan Frink is a saxophonist, composer, and scholar pursuing a PhD in Jazz Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. As a member of the university music department he has taught classes in music theory, jazz theory, music history, keyboard harmony and basic piano skills. Nathan has been teaching private saxophone lessons since 2008.
He holds a bachelors degree in music from Nazareth College of Rochester and went on to earn an MA in Jazz Studies from Pitt in 2011. Nathan regularly performs in Pittsburgh and throughout the northeast. His current projects involve work with The ChopShop, Batamba, Mathew Tembo, and Scientific Soul.

Anja Wade - Bringing her own style and passion for teaching to Kathy's Music.

We are pleased to have Anja Wade in our studio program teaching guitar, ukulele, and piano.  She currently teaches in Mt. Lebanon and McMurray.

Anja is a guitarist, pianist, and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a BA in music from Bucknell University as well as a K-12 Music Education Certificate from Duquesne University. She teaches as a substitute music teacher at area public schools, such as Jefferson Middle School in Mt. Lebanon, among others.  Anja performs regularly and is well-versed in multiple styles of music, including jazz, blues, rock, and pop. With her training in music and education, Anja caters to students of all ages. She believes that making music is an amazing gift of creative expression and freedom for everyone.
